This class is all about balancing, strengthening and stretching while moving with the breath. It is designed to release tension and stress by holding in such poses. This is for ALL LEVELS AND GENDERS. We learn to be aware of our breath, not only in class, but through the day as well.
Everyone needs to take the time to be more mindful of our bodies, our breath, and our thoughts. You will find that in this process, you become stronger and more flexible as well. Our stretches open the hips, shoulders, and chest, which is really beneficial to ones that sit at their jobs on computers. We stretch all of our muscles such as the hamstrings, calves, and thighs. The abs are always a part of these poses, so they will become stronger also. Never push yourself beyond what your body is capable of.
Every day is different. That’s why we call this a ‘practice’. Accept that and be okay with it.
This class usually ends with a light meditation and breathing (pranayama)
